Tantra - a Journey of Spiritual Development Are you looking for? A path in which you will grow in consciousness. A path of wholeness and inner power. A path of balancing and integrating love, sex and consciousness. A path that honours emotions and enables intimacy. TANTRA, a beautiful path for a conscious and full earthly life that does not polarise spiritual and sensual experience has been much misunderstood and limited by commercial interpretations. Tantra's association with sexuality has been enough to attract many westerners to take an interest and also some to distort what Tantra really offers to address many of the key issues of today's world. The transcendent sex and more evolved relationships that westerners hope to achieve through studying and practising Tantra are outcomes of a new paradigm of thinking and being based on the universal principles of energetic interaction. And once you begin to apply this paradigm in your life well.....EVERYTHING changes.... Just think how many problems have at their root a battle or argument of opposing views. This is as much true in a relationship crisis as it is in a major war or dispute. And problems remain until an individual, a couple, a community, a company, a country etc. arrives at a new level of consciousness and changes its mindset. According to Tantra, the Tao, and in fact all spiritual systems, and...modern quantum physics - all phenomena in our universe arise as a result of the dynamic interplay between two polar forces, called in western culture positive and negative or masculine and feminine. You may also be familiar with the Taoist terms Yin (feminine) and Yang (masculine). In Tantra, we speak of Shiva (masculine) and Shakti (feminine). Tantra is a path of integrating opposites leading the practitioner out of the suffering that characterises duality. Where would you like Tantra to lead you? Passionate Awakening reflects what Tantra is to me.   Passion is fuel, energy and life force. Awakening is consciousness. These are the yin and yang, shiva and shakti, doing and being aspects of personal growth and spiritual development. To me, Passionate Awakening is a perfect description for the spiritual journey that is Tantra. Given the varied range of Tantric study options available today, my aim with this website is to give you information about my take on Tantra which has developed through my study and practise of Taoist practices, Ipsalu Tantra and Shaivic Tantrism. In my experience, the practices guide your journey and it is important that you are guided and supported through levels of initiation by a teacher/mentor who understands the practices because they do them. My offering to you is Ipsalu Tantra Kriya Yoga. I also teach Chi Kung workshops  as foundational preparation for those with no background in energy work. They are also a great complement to Tantra study for those who wish to explore Taoist approaches to energy. Ipsalu Tantra programmes include initiation into the Cobra Breath, which is the powerful technique that many choose Ipsalu training in order to learn.
